The Greenhouse Hotel in Hveragerdi, just a short drive from Reykjavik, pleasantly surprised me with its vibrant interior, reflecting the town's hot spring charm. the check-in process was a breeze, offering both a high-tech self-check-in option and a warm welcome at the front desk. the keyless entry system was a convenient touch, allowing for easy access to the cozy and well-decorated room. The room itself, a Standard Double, was spacious enough at around 18 sqm, with thoughtful amenities like a Nespresso machine, Icelandic Glacier water, and a variety of entertainment options on the flat-screen TV. the design was simple yet efficient, with plenty of hooks for hanging clothes and a touch of elegance with Massimo Vignelli-inspired bedside lamps. I particularly enjoyed exploring the hotel's unique food hall and shops, which showcased Icelandic designers and local treats. the bustling atmosphere added a nice buzz to the experience, making it a delightful place to unwind after a day of adventures. the Greenhouse's commitment to environmental consciousness also stood out, making the stay feel more authentic and sustainable. Overall, the Greenhouse Hotel offers comfort and convenience in a charming setting, perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in Hveragerdi's natural beauty and local culture.
